About

The independent authority on municipal bond investing.

Municipal Bonds Today publishes research-driven education for individual investors and advisors — written and reviewed by professionals who work in the fixed income market every day.

Municipal Bonds Today was founded in 2019 on a simple observation: the muni market is one of the largest and most valuable asset classes available to U.S. investors, and the quality of publicly available education about it is poor. Retail investors are pointed toward oversimplified explainers or drowned in the technical jargon of institutional research. Neither serves them well.

We publish long-form, professional-grade education that treats readers as intelligent adults. Every article is written or reviewed by someone who has traded, structured, analyzed or managed municipal bonds professionally. We do not sell securities. We do not accept payment for coverage. We are not affiliated with any broker-dealer or asset manager.
